BARC Recruitment 2023 Selection Process
Technical Officer/C:
• Selection will be on the basis of performance in the interview. If the response is higher, this Centre reserves the right to reduce the number of candidates called for interviews by conducting a Computer Based Screening Test in the relevant subject across India. This Centre’s decision in this regard will be final. BARC Recruitment 2023 Notification for 4374 Post Online form.
Scientific Assistant/B and Category-I Stipendiary Trainee:
The Computer Based Screening Test of one-hour duration will be carried out in India and will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions (choice of four options).
For each correct answer, a ‘3’ mark will be granted, and a ‘1’ point will be removed for each wrong answer.
The syllabus for the test mentioned previously will be based on courses at the Diploma / B.Sc. level, as applicable.
Candidates who pass the Screening Test will be shortlisted for interviews; the location of the interviews will be announced later on.
Final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview, with no weightage given to marks obtained in the Screening Test.
This Centre’s decision in this regard will be final.
Technician/B and Category-II Stipendiary Trainee
Stage 1 – Preliminary Test
Screening Test consisting of 50 multi–choice questions (choice of 4 options) of one–hour duration in the following proportion: Mathematics – 20 questions, Science – 20 questions and General awareness – 10 questions.
‘3’ marks will be awarded for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
Stage 2 – Advanced Test
The Test will comprise of 50 multi-choice questions (choice of 4 options) of two hours duration.
‘3’ marks will be awarded for each correct answer and ‘1’ mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
A merit List of candidates will be prepared after Stage–2, based on the scores obtained in Stage-2 only.
All candidates with less than 30% in the general category and less than 20% in the reserved category will be screened out.
Stage 3 – Skill Test
The number of candidates shortlisted for the Skill Test will be decided by the number of candidates who pass Stage-2, but will not be exceed 4 to 5 times the number of vacancies in each trade.
The Skill Test will be based on Go/No–Go basis..
Candidates will be shortlisted for Stage 3 based on the Merit List issued following the Stage 2 – Advanced Test.
